As a fully catered lodge, our culinary philosophy is simple: good food, generous hospitality and a taste of South Africa in every meal.
Proudly rooted in local flavours and seasonal ingredients, our dining is an integral part of the safari experience.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are thoughtfully timed around the rhythm of the bush, so you can enjoy every meal without missing a moment of the wilderness.
Wake at first light to fresh coffee or tea and traditional South African rusks, before heading into the bush for your first game drive of the day.
Return from your morning safari to a generous breakfast on the pool deck, with views across the Maqongqo Hills. Start with fresh local fruit, yoghurt and cereals, followed by a hot breakfast cooked to order.
Lunch is light, fresh and suited to the warm Zululand climate. Served at the lodge, it’s a chance to relax in the shade, recharge and enjoy a casual meal before your afternoon activities.
Help yourself throughout the day to freshly brewed tea and coffee, cool spring water, homemade biscuits and something freshly baked from the kitchen.
At the end of your afternoon game drive, as the day cools, stop for a sundowner at one of our scenic viewpoints and enjoy the last light of the day before returning to the homestead.
End the day with a relaxed dinner in the Lapa, enjoying generous South African flavours prepared by our chef. From traditional braai and potjie cooked over the open fire to samp and beans, dombolo and morogo — a true taste of local culture.
Please note: All meals, teas and coffees are included in your rate.
Soft drinks and alcoholic beverages are not included.
